It depends on the car! I love my scooped '67 decklid, I wouldnt trade it for anything! Convertible lids are great too- they dont disturb the lines of the car, yet still give the IDA's the air they need Smiley I think these look great on a cal look oval...

The Jade Grenade had an NOS 58-63 vert decklid.  It was in red lead with the ink stamp when I got it.  I almost didn't want to have it painted.

I prefer Convertible and I mounted it on my 65...
but I also like the Scoop´d Empistyle one.
The nicest one to keep the smooth lines of a bug is definetly the stock one-but enigne gets to hot on the Autobahn-the Cabrio Lid downs the Oiltemp. 10-15 degrees Cel. in the Autobahn in summertime.

There is a 64 vert lid on the samba now.

The seller is Dave Cormack's friend,  "Dr. Decklid".

I had a NOS "58 lid for mine too, and I couldn't bring myself to altering it in any way.  My friend Matt took my original '58 lid and "slightly modified" it !  Wink

All metal - hand pounded "D-cups" and grafted vert vents.  Also a cowl vent from a late model to let the 993 fan breath a little better!  Grin

It's my favorite part of my car.
