What are the "Hidden Users" I see from time to time, and why would they be hidden? And how do they become hidden , for that matter?

Is it so they can't look you up on the lounge, or so the boss doesn't know you're on here when you're logged in, or am I missing something. I had originally thought it was when a member was browsing on here but not logged in. But the boss would still know you're logged in to the site wouldn't he? |

its a setting on your account related information on your profile.
Really never had any use for it
