The 500 looks ace! There's an awesome 600 hill climb car I've seen somewhere, mental bike engined beast. Oh and I prefer Sarge's Rambler. It looks far cleaner. Heaps of work gone into the other one though  Shocked

Just to make it clear, for you that think the 500 is my car:  Sad  sadly enough it isn't.

It is a Belgian car though, it was featured in GR8 a Plastic Tuning mag, just bought it for that particular car. These pictures I found on the web but I have the feature somewhere. Speedwell aren't you the archivist ?  Grin Wink

I have always dreamed about such a car though. When I was 20 I was always talking about building a Fiat 500 racecar. I wanted it to be tube-chassied and with a Hayabusa engine instead of a Blackbird but pretty much the same otherwise. Always much of a talker, not much of a do-er. Let's finish the 66 first.  Roll Eyes

Anyone else notice how some of the ugliest, forgotten about cars make for the best hot rods?  Who in their right mind would buy a '54 Kaiser new off the showroom floor....seriously! Undecided

Yesterday's "Best of France & Italy" car show.
Funny sign with Jay Leno's Bugatti Atlantic in the background (he own's half a dozen Bugattis).
And a 1966 Alfa Romeo GTV (for Jim Ratto!)

Rare Facel Vegas (some with V8 Chryslers).
And a few Renault 4CVs. The model in the middle runs a hopped up Renault Dauphine engine. The one to the right a Renault R10 motor.

Like Cal Lookers it looks so right with Fuchs even that it came with steelies..

Car guy lunch 2 blocks from the sand in Ocean Beach San Diego.
My favorite 900hp 2400lb Monza.
The toasted car is perhaps the most original McLaren in the world.
Untouched since crashed just 4 years after winning the championship.

nice 2002 turbo, is it the same one I saw in Monterey 2 weeks ago?

1934 Horsch part of Auto Union before Hitler messed it up.
The stainless headlight covers tapering down the inside of the front fenders was spectacular.
Incredible detail and all like brand new.

from the net..

No Concours car, this is the rental-mobile of Derek Bell.
He had the most unfortunate luck. After driving the 917 coupe on track Saturday, he fell somewhat ill and in the need to quickly exiting the vehicle to satisfy an upset stomach. As he generously puked over the scenery, he looked behind him to see in horror the car rolling downhill and hitting no less than FIVE other vehicles! He put the car in neutral instead of "park".
We were laughing so hard when he told us the story that we nearly lost our own lunch.

The famous Vincent that first reached 150MPH at Bonneville with its driver nearly naked to decrease drag, generating one of the most famous photos of all times:
Pretty cool, hey? Well our friend Alain de Cadenet had to drive the thing during a 50 mile parade in Carmel and on the PCH all the way to Big Sur and 3 days later was still describing the condition of his privates to us on the field at Pebble beach. Pretty hilarious and impossible to report here.
