If you are in bad need of a fix of brown cheese outside Norway, you are almost guaranteed to be served coffee and waffles with brown cheese at the Norwegian Seamen’s Mission They are represented in 30 countries including cities like London, Houston, LA, Miami, New Orleans, New York, San Fransisco etc Some even sell the stuff or at least you can calll them locally and they can for sure tell you the nearest shop to buy brown cheese and probably Vestlandslefse aswell.
