Congrats! Kids are the best responsibility you'll ever have. My younger son was 10lbs. 4oz. at birth. And both were born in my bedroom, via natural. My older one was the same as my birth weight; 8lbs. 6oz. Looks like you have a very healthy infant. Enjoy... it's a very rewarding and awesome journey.

Thanks guys, this birth started Monday!  Both of us are very tired, I have had about 20 hours sleep since Saturday night.  Rach even less.

DKK_Fred - I thought mine was big!  I presume yours has grown into a professional athlete!

Jon - not long for yours dude, hope it goes well Smiley  No more new engine parts for a while.

Jim - Rach isn't coming home till monday, as you can tell the birth was very traumatic for Rachael, and to be honest I started to really get worried, when they had to pump her full of extra drugs, antibiotics and fluid!  So I think it might have to wait a week.

Race Head - no chance on pink Smiley  But he does have a bug-in baby grow to wear

Yours IS a good size. Noah was only 3oz. difference. That's nothing. But you're right... he's 15 years of age and he had 11 successful years as a tournament baseball player, one year of high school football, and more recently... he decided to quit those and made the high school surf team. THANK GOD. I hate contact sports and I'm glad that he's doing something that I taught him when he was 4 years old.

My older one, Jacob, also played tournament level baseball for 10 years, but quit two years ago to pursue wrestling. He's going on his third year of that and he's getting rather good. They're both like me... very athletic. Except for one thing; I've always loathed sports, and they're way better at them than I ever was. You know what they say; each generation improves upon the previous. HAHA!!

I'm very blessed with my boys... they get good grades, they're polite, and because I taught them to skateboard while they were learning to walk and to surf at 4, I have my two favorite surf/skate partners for life. We have a lot of fun enjoying our favorite pastimes. I hope and wish the same for you and yours.

Are you planning to have any more?

Congratulations—the first year goes fast, so watch closely!  Glad to hear everyone is going well.  When my wife went in for the c-section, I was in the room with my gown on waiting for them to call me into the O.R.  After a few loooong minutes the anesthesiologist comes in and says (in a German accent, no less):  "Time to go, come on...you have a camera?  Don't forget your camera!"
