Yep that's a Talbot. In France Chrysler, Talbot (and Simca at the end of the 70s) were the same brand. This car was sold here as Talbot Horizon. I think in the UK it was the same, then Talbot was bought by Peugeot, Simca dissapeared and Chrysler stand alone.

which talbot or horizon had the 150hp Lotus motor?

that was the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, which was a different car altogether (rear wheel drive), but looked similar to the FWD  Horizon

That SC Rambler is gorgeous.. I would LOVE to have one of those... talk about an amazing power/weight ratio.  But the Omni..  Roll Eyes

Unless it was a GLHS Omni,... which, when you consider that it came out in '86, when smog crap was at it worst... it was a pretty impressive car... 175 HP in a car that small... 14.7 second quarter mile... again, not bad considering it was the mid 80's.

But then... I'm a guy who drives a Miata and has a '71 Dodge Dart Swinger in the garage.

The Rambler is a Hurst SC. Proper '69 muscle with Ram Air. Ugly but 1512 made, so if you got one now it's pretty rare. And cooler than any Mopar!

After high school a friend of mine bought one of those Citations for a $1.00 He drove the wheels off of it for 4 years and did little more than put gas in it and change the oil (he didn't really change it, he just kept adding). When it finally died he thought the $1.00 he paid for it was still too much! What a piece of crap.
