I was reading an old copy of DB&HVW last night in bed - September 1977 - and I came accross a COOL letter from a Norwegain guy  The letter talks about how hard it is to get hold of "performance parts" for VW engines in europe - but in the end he managed to get together an 1835cc with dual DCN's (good choise  ) and 284 duration Cam external oil filter and cooler - apparently he had to go to Sweden for most of the parts. The question is does anyone know this guy  is he still in the scene His name is Halvor Aslandwould be interesting to track him down  |

He had a cool old school 68 or 69 bug back then, sadly the car is no longer around. He is into british sport cars these days..

NO WAY! I can't believe you have had contact with him too it was his mothers 1969 1300 by the way according to his letter - I will keep everyone posted |

I have talked with him a couple of times, but he works in the North sea so he is kind of hard to reach.
