Have only just spotted this thread..... WOW!!!  Shocked  Car looks amazing Sal.  Cool Cool

Love the colour, and the work done so far. All that long term planning is paying off.

PS - little known (insignificant) fact..... that trailer (race shuttle), that you can see the body being loaded into in the pic above, was the first thing I designed after leaving Uni.  Cheesy

Cheers Ladies, I am pretty pleased with the result so far. A little overwhelmed at what we need to do to complete it. Its so perfect at the moment, I am scared to touch it in case I fuck it up. Fortunately my excitement should overcome the panic.

I can totally understand your worries Sal. One tip, if you wear jeans or work wear with metal buttons, tape the buttons to protect the paint. Been there - done that  Smiley

Ups...

Of course you gals wear tiny skirts and see through tops when you work on your car..

When I worked for Vauxhall (the UK part of Opel/General Motors) on my work placement year from university in 1998-1999, track workers were issued with several of those oh-so-80's sweat bands and I couldn't work out why. Then I spotted where they were worn - one on the wrist over the workers watch, and the other on their belt, over the buckle. Nothing worse than the first scratch on brand new paint... Shocked

Looking good Sal and Mat!!

Fit a mexican AC kit to that Cali motor, ship it out here and I can promise she'll never have to have rain touch those inner arches!!

Hope to see it in motion later this year...

Cheers

Sal got her floorpan back this week. Cris & Co had been finishing it off back at the Birkshop and we all helped load it in his Caddy and trundle it over.

Job done, time to 'Steve' at it with coffee in hand.

Sal can't believe it's actually home at last.

Body shell looks amazing.

Have they not built a drive-in-the-rain-dome yet? I thought they had everything there? Surely this is a missed opportunity. Shocked

That’s plan ‘A’.

Did I mention there is also a plan ‘B’? Mañana and all that…  Smiley

There’ll probably be quite a bit more of that before it's done.   Cheesy
