Wow what a weekend!! Thanks for inviting us down DFL'rs, we had the best of times...!!! The fun started by being picked up on the airport on Friday by Sven, Olaf and Christian! Who later took us to a Italian restaurant with superb food...and after that it was 402 meters of drinking! Lights went out at 4 in the morning... Saturday afternoon was spent in the Sauna and pool followed by one case of Oettinger beers at room 226! Then we joined the rest of the cal-look enthusiasts at Svend's sisters cal-look cinema! Free drinks and finger food for all!! The DFL boys really know how to throw a party, and the way such a event connects bonds of friendships all over Europe should not be underestimated! Respect boys!! and then.. the movie!! Underdog racing at a unknown drag event in 72 and one of the Bug Ins of 72.. all filmed by a German tourist, what a blast... the retro inspiration is filled to the max once again!! After a big breakfast at Hotel Adler we said our goodbyes and Svend, Georg and Dominique took us to the airport in style.... in a brand new Passat R36... 240km/t or 150MPH with 350 kilos 330 lbs of viking fat in the back seat isn't half bad! Congratulations with the 10 years DFL, and all the best for the next 10 years!! And THANKS!! I hope you will let us return the hospitality at the SCC next year, whether you come by plane or looker!! Hello to everyone! Thank you for joining us celebrating our 10th anniversary. It really was a cool event-and it wouldn´t have been like that without all the guests -you- from all over Germany & Europe. that is no way to talk about Beetlebug!!! i will whoop your ass! other than that i had a blast as well. i apologize to Jelle for keeping on talking through the movie, but yeah it was great!!! i was so surprized to see the Norweigian friends and meeting Vegard and Fritte was so cool as well. very cool you came over. i had a blast with all the people there, laid back is the word. |

Thanks all of you DFL'rs for inviting us Norwegian. The friday was so great and the saterday evening so cool . Good food, DFL beer the movie and all the nice people. Nice talking to you Nikolas and all the cool cal-look people.

Thanks for joining our little party, everybody! We were very happy to see so many loungers in the little cinema. We where truly overwhelmed to see so many people from foreign countries as far as norway and finland. We hope you had a good time - we had!

Thank you so much for being invited to your anniversary guys!!!! With the list of things that went on as JHU described, you cant be bored. And the setting  Thats by far the coolest cinema I`ve ever been to!!! The small cinemaroom with red color and 50`s theme reminded me of a scene from Mulholand Drive by David Lynch and the larger 70`s theme room with glasfiber bowl-shaped frames filled with a soft brown pillow. Would love to have them as front seats in my car The fingerfood surrounded by old wheels and tyres was a real cool display aswell Tobi gave me some quick lessons in frases from the german drinking culture . The only one I remember(wonder why  ) is "nich lang snacken - kopp in'n nacken!" witch means something like "No long conversations, just tilt your head and drink" Maybe he was trying to tell me something  Anyway.....Happy anniversary DFL!!!! Hope we can have more of these enjoyable meetings in the future |

Today we received a parcel from the belgian DAS VW Club. Due to various circumstances the DAS was unable to attend our birthday party - but they didn't forget us.
