After a lot of thinking about using aftermarket sheetmetal or use as much original as possible, I finally choose to complete replace one pan half instead of repairing it.

In my new steering setup, I have to mount some rods upside down. so it was time to drill the steering arms, freshen them with some grid and weld the inserts.

You better hurry with yours, I am still waiting for that color number Paul.

I know, I cant wait for mine to progress, but its ok Im busy fiddling about with the other car so that keeps me happy. Yes I can imagine there are a lot of little bits to finish on the chassis, but its great fun for us to follow this thread! Loving your fresh ideas! Dont worry my friend the colour code is safe with me I will let you know At this rate I reckon yours will be finished before mine!! After thinking about to buy a cheap (thin) or expensive (original thickness) floor, I bought the expensive one.
I had to grind and hammer to make it fit, but I like the fact that it is thick material.

My oilcooler use to hang on the left side of the gearbox, but that is not gonna fit anymore After some thinking, yea sleepless nights again I came up with the following idea The floor after the driverseat will be raised to make some room to fit the cooler under it. The new oilcooler place is all tacked in place now, but I am not sure if I like it . then I sprayed it all in one color to have an idea of the end result, and I am still not sure The space I created is good so I will go on. Paul.

I don't think inspection will be a problem. Remember this will be a street legal car (not a 10sec car) and it Will be in a much better state then most (serious) racers. Paul.

A few weeks ago I welded a bracket to the steeringpivot, today I looked at it again and wasn't happy with the way it looked. Did some more work on the hunch Did some welding again, grind ed some welding and fixed the oilcooler brackets. I decided to mount the cooler the other way around, I think it Will catch more air this way.

Today I started doing the oilcooler brackets again , I was't satisfied cos it wasn't level. Then I started fixing my adjustable gearbox mount, it's only tacked but you'll get the idea.
