I remember that car, it was from San Jose, I think? had 1835, K8, IDAs. One of those aqua-green cars I was really fond of. I still am. I still think that car is very cool.

Thanks for posting!

good memory Jim the feature says it had an 1835cc motor with a K8, eliminator heads, Ida's and  a 10.3:1 cr must have been a bear in traffic. I almost did my first car that colour because of this feature.

That car is sweet!! The only thing I might change is the fender beading and the running boards, but the more I look at the picture the more those two details work with the entire car. Something different.

Very Clean car. I think they also had a white cal looker too. The twins did detailed work. I was showing the Green M&M Pre-chop at the same time,...man that was years ago.

Hi Kevin

Thanks for letting David Fetherston shoot your car for my magazine way back when! If I remember correctly (it IS a long time ago,!) we called the feature 'Pale rider'…
Cool car that would still look good today. Hope it survives somewhere!

Mike and I were out of the vw scene for about twenty years, but we got back into it a few years ago.  Mike recently finished his 68 custom ford truck and  I just finished an oval about a year ago, wish got back sooner.
Mike is going to post some build images of the 59 we still have, and willl post them soon.  Here is pic of the 56...maybe Ill hit a few shows this up coming year.
