thanks Stretch!

I've just flaked the Berg Traction bar, my favourite paint at the moment is the House Of Kolors pale gold mini flake basecoat, I tint it with HOK Kandy Koncentrates

that way you have the green (or whatever) colour, but in the sunlight there's a real gold sheen to it....(you can see the effect better on my Mustang roof in the Off-Topic section.)

I have a "Tayco" style linkage with the plain round cross-bar, I think a Bugpack version?  as you can imagine I purchased it a long time ago!

I've painted it black and the accelerator cable arm and the end linkages are gold plated...haha!  it only cost about £30.....

I need to make up some carb/crossbar mounting brackets as it wont fit as it is.....

The IDA stacks?  Hmmm.... Well I remember they fitted badly and needed some careful sanding down of the "flange"

I'm pretty sure they were the cheap-ass thin new Empi versions ..... I convinced myself this was a good idea because they weigh nothing!

I had them gold anodised....

Thanks dude....I'm interested to see how you improve your car....I was always massively impressed by it!

Many thanks for the kind words Mike!

I think there's a LOT more room for creativity in this scene..... I Think it's a big reason that things seem to be quietening down around here...

Hi Jick,
do you have a detail photo of those stacks in combination with the mounts for the taico linkage?  I Always thought that the cheapo empi stacks looked cool, certainly for the price.  What's the downside?

I didn't think you could make them fit in combination with a taico linkage because the mounts clamps around the front stacks...

Thx,

Dem

Wow.... Thanks guys!

2015 is looking like it's going to be a fun year!

Matt, once again, massive thanks!  I've just had the car totally rewired, gotta collect it on Saturday then just down to our friend Wayne at Intergalactic to get the engine in & set up...... I'll be in touch!

Mr Wolfwest.......sorry, no detail shots as yet I'm afraid , the stacks are super flimsy and I needed to  spend quite some time finely sanding back the bottom part where they slip into the carb, not too complicated I suppose....
I have a weird Berg prototype oil breather ( so I'm told?) which interferes with the linkage anyway,  so I need to fab up some new carb mounted brackets to make it all work......

And Mr Dannyboy.... Thanks man! Yeah , they're the Radirs,  I adore them, but if I'd have known the  stress and bother of getting them to work on a street car I wouldn't have even thought about it..... ( actually that's a lie, I would have, but they've been a struggle!)

Thanks all for the kind words etc..... It's a real boost!

Jick

James gotta say, waiting almost 20 years to fit those seats was worth the wait.  Interior is lovely.

Thanks men!

Tom, Volksworld was my goal, but I've got quite a lot going on at the moment... And I've just had a fairly expensive month... More of that another time!
So whilst I could probably thrash & get the car ready I just don't think I can spare the time to be at the show for even a day this year, let alone a whole long weekend... Sad
I'm in no rush...... Cheesy

Stay tuned into    "in da werks"    More car news etc on its way!
