Hi Sarge,
             Is that the car that Dyno Don did a detailing article for Hot Vws on back in the early to mid 90's, I remember that car having a 1776 with 48 idas.

One from the DKP reunion... I "think" it belonged to Ken Cervone

Yep, that was mine.
The car was a common site, white and mostly in stock form, back in the Camelot & Carl's Jr. days in Anaheim.
I bought it off of Tim & Carla Schull (s/p?) and spent a year restoring it.
The color was a non-metallic dark blue, the darkest I could find at the time.
Dyno brokered the sale to Bill Taramino shortly after it was finished as I got in way over my head money-wise trying to finish it.
It's strange to see it in print in the Cal-Look book after 20 years.

ahhh...remember that car well..sold it 87 to 90? maybe kenny remembers. broke my heart selling it. but kenny did it justice thats for sure..

p.s Sholl is the correct spelling.

No, all I'm saying is these wheels do belong to the car, since it's been like this for so long.

Well, it did look better in the Volksworld feature with the detailed 16" Fuchs and, IMO, less agressive rake would also work better with those wheels and tires.

I agree, and it would look even better with a set of 15in wheels.

Anyway, back on topic:

Yep, same car. it lost the 5 BRM's after I sold it, and was fitted with Chromies & Porsche caps.
The car was sold again to another local Anaheim guy, about a block from my work, who painted it Guards Red.
Since the car was sold back in '89 it has remained within 2 miles of my house, but it's still always strange to see it after all of these years.

Bought it from you guys in October '88 and sold it in October '89.
I wish I had pics of it when it was white and Carla drove it. That car and driver were a staple of the Camelot cruise nights.
I have another early 'vert on the side of the house that may get the same color combo treatment.

Do it!!!   Wasn't the color a mitsubishi or izuzu color or something like that?  Very unique and nice looking.

A very recent shot of my best friend's 1962 'vert that he took almost ten years to completely restore... body-off-of-pan, too. Every piece of the car has been gone through. Amazing time machine to drive and see in person.
