Another reason I hate to see cars that I've owned years later...To see the car in that condition was very depressing. And for some reason the only front turn signals they could find to hack into the front end came from the cheapest trailer manufacturer.

Thanks for the kind words. Here we go, engine: 2276cc with CB 44x37 oval CNC heads, FK10, SCAT 1:4, SCAT 5,4" rods and A1 1 3/4 header... com ratio 10,6:1... and a Cold Fusion nitrous system (not tried yet) Gearbox: 4.12 R&P... 3.78, 2.06, 1.56 and 1.21. Superdiff och SAW short axles. Real Porsche 4.5 and deep 6" with MH Racemaster. Fun car to drive BUT the drive train is going to be fitted in my 54 cal looker... feels safer after what happen to my club friend "Fast54" - Håkan Lundgren.

how could you say such a thing?? The current owner is a guy I've sold parts to over the last fifteen years. I had no idea that was the same car! I've asked him when he's going to bring the car out to an event but he showed no interest saying that he built it for his own pleasure and not for others to drool over. Hopefully, the new (extremely wealthy ) owner will be different.

Jim, I dig that shot of Gary's 'vert. Back then, I thought that was the best lookin' early 'vert on the road. Especially when it had the alloys or the BRMs. But mainly 'cause it was the only Cal Look car that I saw with the body trim still intact. Everyone, me included, dechromed our cars.
WOW... looking at that pic brings back other memories. Check out the old Shell and Sambo's signs in the background. Wish the gas price board was visible. I'm guessing it was around 65-85¢ gal. Of course, minimum wage was $2.50 hr. too.
