Great news about the chassis cert. Before you put the body back on could you send me a pic of the inner sills, particularly how it attached to the chassis. Thanks,
Lee

I have since I built the car thought about sorting the floor to make it flat. Now I am finally doing it. I will also make a plate under the tank and a removable plate in the rear to get the flow more fluent This pic shows the bracket on the chassi for the body. I will snap a pic on the body brackets as well. Is this what you wanted to see Lee?

Hi, It's the body brackets I am most interested in. I remember you saying you only had the outer sills on your body shell so interested what the inner sill area and brackets look like... Thank you Lee

Getting closer to put some paint on it. Finished the floor last night. The empty pie piece in the middle will be covered from the inside with the floor same as before. Here is a blurry pic on the rocker. Besides these brackets I also have brackets on the B-pillar.

As I am changing EFI to MaxxECU this season I am also upgrading from 2 step to be able to retard the ignition. We took an old dizzy stripped it and made a lid. The design is copied from my friend Fredrik Nygrens dizzy who also helped build it. It has worked well on his 9.20 car.

It was a really strange season. I managed to get to 2 events. Bug Run Classic and a race at Kjula. At Tierp I realised that the left rear shock had gone south while on the track. The car was almost impossible to drive, still managed a 10.23 at 234 km/h. Borrowed a shock from a friend and went to Kjula for some racing. Right after launch shifting to second a cylinder went up in a million pieces. Hurting the head and the block. End of season...
Fortunately after taking everything apart itīs not too bad. Itīs fixable, the crank, camshaft and turbo are fine. Have already started the work to fix it. Will manufacture new cylinders this offseason and do some other changes that I ran out of time to sort this year.
Hopefully a much better season next year.

I think what you guys manage to achieve in such a short season is nothing short of amazing. Good luck fixing up the motor and keep it off the street, actually forget that last part! Mat (S)

Just seen the car featured in german "VW Speed" Magazine. Btw: This is the fastest Type 3 in Europe. For sure. Who is runner up? There is no list i know.. Patte did 9s i think, a guy from England is in the 10s with his V8 Fastback. Mine did 10,5 at DDD#11, so i am in third place??? Someone forgotten?

Hello! Remember me Itīs been a while since the last update. I have been busy though. Last season ended with a enginefailure. Still not quite sure what caused it we could never find the wristpin. New stronger ones The head was fixable and so was the the engine case. I then decided to make my own cylinders, that was a lot of work... This is what we started with This is what we ended up with 7mm thick walls Trial fit I also decided to change the EFI setup, I have purchased a Swedish product called MaxxECU and will also go with coils instead of MSD Another big change is going to drysump, Pauterpump. Homemaid adapter The good friends on CSP, sponsored with these Changed from AN8 to AN10 Thats about it for now. I was aiming for racing on the last of May but there is still a lot to do.

Great looking cylinders !!
Can I ask what did you make them from and did you treat or coat them with anything ? Any reason you didn't use some 'off the shelf' ?
Thanks Darren

Hello people, itīs been too long. Last weekend I took the car to Kjula Dragway (awesome racetrack) This was my second race this season. The driver was not doing a good job until the last run on Sunday when he after some talk with his mechanic/friend got his stuff together and pulled a 9.05 run. The new setup, sold the big bus. this is so much easier to handle This weekends best time, not far from PB,
