My own car with a one inch trans raise sits perfect to my eye. But I can't recommend it for a daily driver.

well..... my car isn't a real looker Roll Eyes

I've seen cars much like yours in LA and Orange County for years, so don't be so hard on yourself.
The only thing I see missing is California license plates Cool
I like the stance, plain bumpers, widened wheels and all the European features too.
Nice car, hope you're having fun with it. That's what it's all about  Wink

here's my one:

front: 5,5x15 165-65
back 7x15 195-65

plans in the next years:
typ 4 (!) maybe some porsche wheels... or gasburner repros..

Your car looks so good on Gasburners....

Do it! Wink

i'm liking the stance on this one
can we have the details?

Well itīs drives on; Front 145/80 x15 XZX. Back 185/80 x15 XVS-P (curb guard), all Michelin it's lowered one notch in the back.
CB dropspindles Front, it also has ajustable fornt beam but it's raised max.

Also the Albert mirrors are gone, thats probably the best thing i have done so far with the car, completely changed the look.  Cool

This thread should really be divided into with lowered spindles and without lowered spindles. Freds signature shows the difference.

Good Point. I've decided against dropped spindles because it's not consistent with the look I want.

Meh... to each their own. I really like the way my orange car sat and besides most people, even cops would pull me over, asking how I got the entire car to sit just right. But I was a teen when I built that car and still in high school. These days, I'm an old man and prefer the stock shock travel and great ride of drop spindles. WAY better in my opinion.

Carry forth.

One the reasons why I chose not to run the drop spindles is that it will allow me to run a full width beam.   Wink

It's always easier to start closer to stock and add modifications then it is to go the other way. If I don't like the way it rides, I can always take it further.

Back in the days of cut/weld torsion bars 135's & 165's were common. Good enough for 80 hp, not so
good for 180 hp.  The quest for traction begat the quest for stronger tranny's.  Cheesy

Thanks, I like the way a 26in tall tire fills the rear fender with the trans raised. Not to fond of
all the negatives involving sheetmetal/clearance.

Here's mine:

Front - 2" narrowed CB beam, stock spindles, 4.5" Mangels, 145 Nankangs
Rear - Stock height, 5.5" Mangels, 215/60/15 Diamondback radials

Really wanting to throw on my BRM's as of late for some reason. . .

The wheels and caps look nice on that blue car. Will look even better when you swap the horn grilles for factory ones.

(edit) Are those factory running boards?
