here is a pic of an old friend's white '65 sedan, taken in about 1996 or so. I met Bryan @ BH and at junior college. When we met he was driving a clean, all orig white '66 that was later rolled in a nasty accident near Las Positas College, Livermore. He replaced the car with the car pictured below. The picture was taken @ Sacramento just before he went 14.71 on Dunlop radials. Engine was 88 x 69, Web Cam 110, 8.4:1, stock heads (semi hemi) and 40IDFs. Bryan later brought the car to Classic in 1998 then running a 88 x 74 with Web 86B, 40 x 35 Heads Up Perf heads and 48IDAS (thanks to Bates). Always one of my favorite cars in our club.

He still drives the car today. Same 1904cc engine just with 44 IDFs instead of IDAs but he says it has over 100,000 miles on it.

I was checking out the cool hacksaw convertible in front of it    That has been a Sacramento icon for years. It runs an auto trans and is very consistent low 12s.

That's a cool shot.  Lose the Jetta in the right corner and it could be any time from the mid-70s on.  The '65 looks very cool, also.

Cool picture. That is a good looking car. I actually raced against that red car this past weekend and lost in the second round of eliminations. It was dialed in at 14.4 and a woman was driving; shes good too.

Once Bryan put the 74mm crank in his car it became sickly fast. I rememer taking his 1800cc on a jetting pass out at the Lab and it was unreal how hard it pulled, yet how smooth it drove too. One day in 2001 I was driving my race gas prima donna 2332 and Bryan was in his car, w/ 1904, and I couldn't shake him. He built good stuff and drove the piss out of it. Never forget the tranny weekend @ Sac with him and McNulty.
