Thanks. It had that look because it was actually built in the late 70`s. I bout it from the guy who built it. And yeah, I liked it better with the Sprints too. But I don`t remember ever seeing any cars from that time actually running them.

Well, I`d love to see them. I don`t think I can remember seeing any pictures of any Cal Look cars running sprintstars from the 70`s.

Here is another couple favorites of mine. While in SOLVANG one year we found a bakery with my namesake on it.  Also, could not resist posting a shot of my motor. It woke up the RV park as I cranked it up in the morning to drive our. I even had some flake leave a nasty note on our RV about being so rude.  Go figure. FLOWMASTER mufflers are hard to keep quiet! :-)

If you look close you'll see a VW in this picture -- It is from a very early Bug-in at OCIR where we had spent the night in line -- had to have a reason to party LOL

You old dudes might recognize the guy at the right in the blue shirt sporting a major hangover as Jim "The Buffalo" Bangs.

It's in the western part of the swiss alps. Yeah that was a beautiful drive, breathtaking sights, and not much air for the big engines.  Smiley

Here is a great shot of my car at the top of a huge grade as we worked our way into Denver for one of the Denver Bug-Ins. I was crusing with fellow VW owners Art Thraen and many others from the Salt City Air Coolers club. I drove up from Phoenix and met them.  We then drove from SLC to Denver. I had to have this shot of my 66 dual carb motor at 11,000+ ft.

This is another shot of us as we waited in line for traffic coming from another direction.  They were doing road work on the pass we went over into DENVER and we had about a 15-20 minute wait. If you look close enough on my 66 you can see the specialized Arizona plates that say BGRAMA.

This shot was taken at Williamson Motors, a VW dealership in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was during one of our stops on the 1997 BERG CRUISE to Auburn Hills, Michigan. We were hosted by the dealership and this was a great nigth shot as we got ready to leave and drive to the hotel.
