I used to have a red 1977 RD 400 with chrome Bassani chambers, BMW handlebars and dual Bosch blue coils on the downtubes... used to ride it to a lot of DKK events. See now it's a cal look topic!

There's an SV650 in the garage right now, but it's not mine, it's Asshull's. I would really love to have an old BSA or Norton cafe racer, but the logical side of me wants a Kawasaki Ninja 650R.

I've wanted a Honda GB500 British looks with Japanese reliability... however they are pretty pricey.

Don't post a pic of the ATCs, though.  My dad just sold our 1983 ATC 200x (first year), and seeing yours could be too much for me to handle.  I miss riding.

Java,
Maybe you could replace the ATC with a Baja!
(I know you have a soft spot for Baja's Wink)

There's an idea!  I can justify it as a replacement.

I still have my old orange/black ATC 70 though, gonna hide it for a few years and try to do a resto on it.

Ya know... I don't think I have any pics of it. The guy I bought it from does... it had the Bassanis but it didn't have the blue coils.

I don't have a bike anymore, but I;ve had a '67 Triumph Bonneville chopper, a '68 Bonneville and a '79 Vespa P200. I'll work on digging up some pictues. Currently in my garage, there is most of an '04 GSXR 600 that a buddy crashed a few weeks ago.

I don't ride it much, these days... but I've owned it since 1988. A mostly original 1966 Honda Dream 300. All of the paint is factory except for the front fender. Had to have one of my childhood friends straighten out the leading portion of it and re-shoot it in black lacquer so we could rub it out and make it match the old '60s finish. I also swapped the lame aftermarket glasspacks, and dual round mirrors for n.o.s. factory units that I special ordered from Lakewood Honda (long since gone, sadly). I also removed the geigh chrome freeway bars (LAME additional footrests). One of these days, I'd love to get the seat redone in the factory gray (with no pleated stitching) along with white piping/beading. Then, have the rear facing portion silkscreened  with the Honda fonts. I removed the blackwall tires and found a set of the n.o.s. whitewalls that you see in the photo. The bike would look much more original that way. I have a vintage motorcycle dealer frame on it. I found it at an antique swap meet in the '80s. I also ditched the prior license plate (if was the original black one, I would've left it alone) and ordered a custom one that reads: 66 HONDA. Fun bike and everything, including the electric starter and horn, still works. Also has a manual starter in case the batter goes dead.

Cool thread... it's neat seeing what everyone else's interests are besides the obvious Cal Look cars. Dave... you crack me up.

Anyone here every ride or own a honda CL or CB 350? I found a very cheap CL 350 for sale. I might buy it and give it the cafe treatment.

I tried riding a motorbike once. It was on my CBT, so perhaps not the best time to find out that I couldn't do it... Everything seemed to be set out so illogically! Think I'll stick to 4 wheels... Cheesy
