I thinking bout getting my old club going again , DZK , " Dann Zouth Klub " . The club is based in the south of England  Bournemouth to be precise .
After a bit of a resurgence in Cal look in these parts and a few good mates getting back into the scene the next logical step seemed to be to resurrect the old Klub banner and start out a fresh .
Now here's the reason for my post , what would you put into the club criteria  Undecided the old club got a bit diluted from its cal look beginnings' , with bays and even T25's getting involved then it just snow balled out of the committee's control .  Roll Eyes
Here are a few initial idea's
All proposed member's to voted in by a majority of the club
All car's to be in the spirit of Cal
Proposed member must be able to produce a sub 13.99 ticket     " still to do this myself "  Roll Eyes this summer finger's crossed  Wink
Post no more than one photo a month of their own car  Wink Cheesy
And be willing to comply with the club hand shake  Wink " still to pick a lotion "  Grin Grin

I do now realise the is / was a state side DZK and I hope Ive not offended anyone by using this name , maybe we could be the the UK branch  Smiley

Any more suggestions Guy's on club criteria  Smiley

I realize that the bar is a bit high , but with luck it should sort the men out from the boyz so to speak , may look at dropping to 14.49 if we don't get enough that can make the cut  Smiley
I thought a good time would show , a prospect's willingness to get stuck in , and not just a nice lookin car .

The stateside DZK was called Der Zottig Kafer's which I think translates to the ragged beetles or something like that.

its not the 13.99 that will limit numbers its the from bournmouth area that will do it.  Are you going to allow zimmers instead of zwitters? Wink

Zimmers  Grin Grin now that would open it right up down here  Cheesy ,
Im hoping for a club with not only guys from the south of England, but also to have an internet presence , where club member's nationally even internationally can chat exchange idea's and help one another out with advice etc .
Monthly meeting's would be local to the region but we would also hook up with the rest of the club at drag day's  and venue's like The Ace's cafe etc .
Ive had a couple of pm's already so who nows this could be a go  Cool
Having given it a bit more thought i think a mid 14sec run would be the way to go  Smiley
But to answer Ben , trim has its place but clearly not on my car in everyone's opinion  Wink

Just let us know how many spaces you need for our next *Drag Day*(assuming you mean drag day as opposed to race meet)as to best of my knowledge ours is the only one of that title. Some of your potential founder members..... Leec/ Ron and Martin, made it along to the first one, they all seemed to have a good time.Be great if you get this off the ground, look forward to welcoming you guys along, obviously the qualifying time for ours  is well within your proposed reach............looking forward to seeing the line up,how many do you feel you might field?

New club rules hastily introduced to allow president to remain a member....

Your car must always be in a state of disrepair.

It must be capable of running a +16sec time, the slower the better.

4 cylinders is an optional extra, if you can save petrol by only using three the better.

Compulsory fitment of fibreglass split window section.

Grin Grin Grin  Gotta love you guy's  Roll Eyes

OK , well , ere , humm ........ Not quite what I was expecting  Roll Eyes Wink just a few teething problem's I hope
Think I know why Im not getting any traction of the line , having looked at a few photo's from my second run , I reckon Ive got the shock's wound up a bit too hard coz Im not bogging down at all  Angry
So not weight transfer on launch , had them set at medium so Im gonna wind them off , maybe even a pair of softer coils
As for running on three , that scared the shit out of me on my last run , thought I trashed the motor .
Hopefully once ive cut my second set of push rods to the right length all will be fine .
Tying down the gear box a bit more sound help to , got me a midmount off some crazy guy with too many cool wheels
Oh and a bit more seat time too  Cheesy
Ive leant a lot this weekend , but ive still a long way to go .
