Hey Im new to this forum- some excellent pics and info on here, Im trying to plan a trip to include as many of the European shows as possible, as I am on a tight budget I wondered if any of you guys could share your experiences of the shows and which ones you most enjoyed.

Im very much into drag racing and checking out the different setup you guys are running- The best show I've been to over here (England) was Big bang when some of the Swedish guys came over- some awesome cars.

If anyone can help me out with this mamoth road trip that i'll undertake in my turbo bug I would be very grateful.

Cheers John.

And as you are in the UK any of the OUTLAWS meets are always good to come and have a look at. So keep a eye on the web site for the dates.  Grin

Cheers Matt I'll get them in my events diary, I take it that theres a lot of UK guys going- are you aranging a convoy or do most not take there cars?

Hey Gold65turbo, I managed to get to one of the OutlawFlatFour events racing against the gassers which was excellent, Im loving the Dauphine! I've got a Renault Caravelle that might be getting the VW treatment at somepoint. Will you guys (Outlaws) be taking part in the Renn Kafer Cup thing thats going on this summer at the British show?

Cheers John.

So does this we won't be seeing you in March for the biggest event of the year then Matt?  Wink  http://www.volksworld.com/show2007/index.php

I'd say the main one NOT to miss is the 1st European Bug In

My two absolute priorities this year is 1st European Bug In and Scandinavian Callook Classic,
in addition I will try to get over for Wolksworld show and  all the other small local norwegian evetns throughout the summer...

See you guys there!

I would have thought that for something like the Bug-In most people will take a car which I guess means that on the Friday a convoy will be more or less unavoidable. DDD certainly attracts a few cars from over here and grows every year whilst the other two are a little bit more difficult to drive to from the UK. Haven't done Bug Run yet but am thinking about flying out there or something. If the SCC's anything to go by more than worth the trip. If I can hook things up work wise I might drive one of them but it's going to be difficult this year. The drive in Norway was beautiful, if you can do it then do!

My answer was angled more towards the VW specific events feaaturing racing type stuff, ofcourse I'll be at Sandown, always a good start to the year.

Thanks for the info, hopefully there'll be some news of the convoys a while before the shows, really looking forward to this summer!
