The pied piper body still exsist. It is known now as the ever so famous SUM FUN. I read the article on sum fun in vw trends that Shultz Sr. purchased the car and replaced the pan and chopped the top.

i never seen a picture of this one in any magazine like hot vws or vw greats is it a 70's gasser or an 80's he is too clean to be the truth , for me it's a really well built repro IMO

AWESOME ! I wondered what the bronze color looked like.Where did your pic come from? I will have to look through my mags to see issue that was in. It says it is a 3-71 Gmc 1600cc ,210 on methanol with occasional 75% nitro dose. 220 pound chassis .Freeway volkswagen was in Seattle.

Anyone know any info on this dragster? It was in the last issue of Hotrod . Porsche powered by Jack MacAfee motors. Was featured in june '61 Hotrod . Anyone have that issue?
