I know this should go in "Happenings", but since many won't go there this week, I decided to post here.

DKP is organizing its 6th "Santa's Lil'L Helper" driving cruise this Sunday! Don't miss it, if you're in town.
Here is the info: "DEC 5  DKP's 6th Santa's Lil' Helper Driving Cruise, Fullerton, CA. Der Kleiner Panzers VW Club invites you to a 20-plus-mile driving cruise through the streets of Orange County. The drive will start and finish at Nick's Burgers in Fullerton (1712 W. Orangethorpe Ave.). Please meet at 4:30 p.m.; driving cruise will roll at 5:00 p.m. sharp. All streetable VWs welcome. This is a free event, but please bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to a charity."

See you this weekend!

As for myself, a first for my wipers also. But leaving for home they died. Then the rain came down good. But all was good, made it home without a hitch, or wreck. Had a great time, another great cruz as usual. Thanks DKP!

Sorry to say, I managed to get out the door yesterday without my camera Embarrassed  Sharon and I had a great time... the rain brought back fogged up window memories of days gone by.  Thanks to all who came out and supported our gig! Cool Cool

This time I got Christie to come with me and even though it rained we had a GREAT TIME.  She shot a good amount of video, but we haven't reviewed it yet.

A highlight for me was to see our friend Roger Grago arrive with his pal Mike and his yellow bus.  Even with his short haircut he looked great and seemed to be in good spirits.

As usual some of the old DKP guard was there and it is always great to see them and share old memories.  Arriving home about 8:45pm and putting a rather wet VW back in the garage Christie and had nothing but smiles on our faces for the balance of the evening.  We are both looking forward to doing it again next year.   Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Good times last night guys, so it rained big deal... great turn out anyway. Rick Sadler and I had fun sharing old VW biz memories while crusing Lambert with no headlights. Trip home was a soaker!

Oh Jim  heaters are for OLD guys....

An amazing turnout for a rainy night good times though.  And I officially think it sucks driving in the rain with NO wipers.  Had to duck out very early sorry for those I did not say goodbye. There was a huge amount of toys which was great.  Awesome night despite the weather and a real showing of the generosity of the community. I echo John in being happy to see Roger out there and Glenn sorry I didn't get to say hi.  See you again soon.

Anybody have any pictures yet? I had a blast last night but a little conflict of interest in my car. I was sideways most of the way up Bastanchury Ave (the rain was coming down in buckets), the kids were screaming go faster and the wife was yelling slow down................yah, we know who won that argument
