A V8-owning friend sent me these, with the comment about how he felt sorry for me that there were so few photos on old drag racing sites which showed VWs!

Interesting selection, but don't currently know much about some of them…

I remember a couple of these. The glass wagn was a very light all fiberglass car powered by what looked like a stock Porsche engine and had an old split, crash box trans. The car was so light that off the line, it would leap into the air with all 4 tires off the ground.

Cool pics.  Never saw an action shot of Little but Quick before.  The Rockford, Dolton, IL ones are right in my neck of the woods in the Chicago area.
