For the technic freaks:
Here is a video-teaser (made by myself) of our 1200ccm Type-1 Turbo Project....

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/TKyvUYoC3FQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/TKyvUYoC3FQ</a>

we have build a 1200ccm Type-1 Engine with megasquirt fuel injection, turbocharging and intercooling (water) for the 1200ccm dyno challenge May 1st 2011 on the "Maikäfertreffen" in Hannover.

At the moment the wastgate cut off the boost at 14 psi.....The turbo still start spooling and boost at 2500 upm - to the end...(about 6000 upm)....

Goog luck....

depends on if the rods and crank can hold it...1600 parts are stronger. rods are just 470g and the crank is weaker than a 69mm.
currently it feels like something around 150hp at 1,2 bar i will end up with 1,4-1,5 bar for the challenge and after the challenge i will test 1,8 bar, this is the max. what the comprMap like. the turbo is good up to 210hp the cam is very mild in this engine.

this is the current situation, just the max. boost is earlier. same turbo more cam/later peak and it would be a 200hp at >6500rpm 1,5 bar engine out of 1,192cc

would be anice race engine.Insane 1192cc and 200 hp!!! what oil pump do you use,oil pressure is the most important thing turning high rpm,all other things comes at second place.
