Jeez... Is your middle name Kingdom, by any chance? You could lay that chassis across the Tamar and charge tourists a couple of quid to get into Cornwall Smiley

Andy,

I am not going to comment on the trailer build as I have no idea on legistlation etc,but one thing that does concern me is the use of the porsche wheels, although they are undoubtedly a strong wheel, trailers have trailer wheels for a reason,I would be really worried about them failing when using them in a way not intended, the weight and load you want to subject them to seems way beyond what they were designed for,is this something you have considered at all?

Hi Richie I have thought about it I haven't got to the bottom of it yet these wheels can take 550 kg each as far as I can find out, I'm defiantly going to look further into it before the car goes in

Bit more done mounted the hitch I've got to put some larger through bolts in when they arrive

Started on mounting the master cylinders needs a bit more work on the linkage as I'm not happy with this part yet

Consulted my parts emporium and found 4 matching shocks

And fitted those so now it doesn't bounce anymore fingers crossed the brake tube etc will turn up tmw so I can get on with that

Cheers andy

Welded the receiver in place it's SWP was 300 bar so 150 psi should be no problem Smiley

Knocked up some brackets for he body to weld too

Now with the shocks on I can also get the rear set of wheels off the floor to help with turning the trailer Smiley

Brakes tmw then fingers crossed I can paint the chassis ready to fit the body next week Smiley

bit more done calipers blasted and painted and hung out to dry

fitted the legs

then started on some of the containment for the pnematics and electrical

the plug turned up for the lights it worked out well that i could tap it out to 20mm conduit size

while i was raiding the stores i found some 15mm conduit so ive used that for the fender supports

the pnematic valve also arrived so i can start plumbing that in as well soon be time for paint then put the body on then back on with the car

Wow thats some list, are you going N/A now? reason I ask is why the F1 throttle body kit on a turbo car? doesnt make sense to me to spend all that money on something that isnt needed, and will surely complicate the install and set up,a single throttle body runs 7s,and also will cruise all day long if needed?dont get me wrong if thats what you want to use go for it Smiley
Who are you having build it? yourself? or maybe someone with lots of real experience with those parts like Johannes?

At this point I am not sure what you are aiming for? drag race car? street & race car? circuit car? but with the constant evolution of this car you are doing for your wife Wink I am not sure you are now either Grin

hi riche

its a full out drag car, the reason for me using the F1 bodies is the whole intake system from the turbo onwards is set up that already i did think of going to a single but it would cost a few K to do that, Marco is going to build and tune the engine i dont mind making anything but im not messing with all that money on parts lol

Cool, that must be some intake if its more than those f1 throttle bodies Shocked

Good luck with it,as you say its alot of money in parts for someone to ruin by not knowing what they are doing

I have never understood the design/shape of your plenums.
Is the a aerodynamic thinking- teory behind the design that I dont understand??
I would rethink the inlet design, make it short and with a minimum use of bends. Sharp edges make for turbulence.

Is the turbo matched for your engine setup?

I am certainly not an expert on this but the way i see it the plenum is between the valve and the throttle plate, afterthat[or before that really]its just the intake manifold

Nearly there now so I can stop boring you all with the trailer build

Hand brake 80% done just got to make the handle and fit the gas spring

Nearly there with the air suspension I didn't use the valve I was going to use as I found this from a range rover I've managed to work out what does what so I can fit that tmw and get it working it also has a 12v compressor that work ok Smiley
