Body Shops In So Cal??
«
on:
November 29, 2011, 13:52:12 pm »
I have decided that the amount of work needed to reattach the rear clip on my '67 is going to be better left to someone other than me. I can't seem to get the time set aside and the courage to do it right and am looking for suggestions of a body shop in So Cal or Las Vegas with a good reputation. Anyone have any??? I am going back to school next semester and work full time so getting the work done by someone else will help with my wavering back and forth about how to do it correctly. I have all the pieces and an NOS apron to get it done.

I'd like to but I'm not. I get too critical and want to buy a new body when I do it myself. If someone else does it I am not so critical, I just say good enough. Its why I haven't had a running car in so long.

S & D in Monrovia. (626) 303-3008. Steve and Cheryl are the owners. They have been doing VW's and other high quality cars for years and are competent. I have also heard very good results from Paul Smoot's shop in Ontario. Best of luck, as I understand well how you feel.

I used Octavios over in Orange. I'm really happy with his work.
Look at my In The Werks thread for pics.

Steve is not allowed to touch anyone else's car until his own is done, by decree of his friends.

Taylor, not to hijack your thread, but was your blue car ever recovered, or any parts of it? I was just watching the Drag Day video from 10 years ago or so, and was just curious.

Not located in So. Cal but what about Buddy Hale or Metal man Gabbard? Are you going to fill in original pee shooter cut outs too? BTW if you talk to Hale tell him I need a box of tampons for his mother. Damn rotten skunk juice is dripping' all over my new floor. Slimy shit smells like raw sewage! Also her 3 legged dog needs new dentures. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that... didn't mean to rub salts in an old wound by any means, was hoping there'd maybe been some good news somewhere along the line.

NO problem.....It only makes me mad when I think about it.
Rick: I called Octavio and sent him an Email of the car and am waiting for a response.

Cool Taylor. I think you will be pleased with his work and his prices are pretty reasonable.
