Last week's R&D session. Started out with a single 478,75cc cylinder and 58hp - ended up with 67,5hp at 8100rpm after porting and tuning. If the engine had all cylinders, that would be a gain of 38hp, from 232hp to 270hp. On a 1915cc engine! No, it's not a typo!!
The best part is - because of the efficiency of working with only one cylinder, this was all done in four weeks and only in evening hours after the workshop is closed.

Hello guys! It was nice to meet you all there in Johannnes place. Regarding of this streetbeetle, it has all Finnish gears in use and can be driven on street normally with using the clutch as in std boxes. Also can be driven without using the clutch so the shifting will be very fast! These gearsets are on use internationally in street, dragrace, rally and rallycross VW:s. Also some VW:s drive these gearsets with other high-rpm engines for exaple Fiat twincam, Honda, Mazda twincam + wankel etc bolted on VW-boxes.
These will fit also into Mendeola and 091 boxes.

More info + gearsetsortiment available, send me pm/email.

Completely off topic, but here's a short in car video from my car using Jussi's SSF gears. I still flip the throttle a little, but no clutch. 091 transmission with berg intermediate housing. No problems on the street either and I think these gears are the single best improvement to my car ever. Link to video

They say that these Alu block run a higher temp on the oil but i would like to know why. It seems that no one is interested to find out why.

Why don't you do some tests and let us know what results you find then?
