What ignition leads are you using on the engine above. I've been looking for a set with the 90 degree connectors for the distributor cap with no luck!!
Thanks,

Hi Lee, those are MSD leads that you can buy at the CSP shop, those are special for VW distibutors and you only have to cut them for the correct lenght..

Melvin,

That holley blue pump will make it a real bitch to control the fuel pressure down low enough to not overflow the carbs, I would really consider a red pump or swapping the spring out in the blue pump to the red lesser pressure version.

Car is looking real good though, good luck getting it done for spa Smiley

cheers Richie

Nice project!  I noticed you have a non doghouse fanhousing. Do you only run and external oil cooler?

Hi Jesse,

Yes he's driving only one external oil cooler, and the engine is not running hot at all! Last year we could do 3 runs( at Spa) after each other without fan belt and still had a block /oil temperature from +/- 65 °C. Wink

It will proberly push past the red regulator as well though, there is a spring inside the pump that controls ultimate pressure and that is what you need to change to drop it down to a sensible pressure Smiley

Try what you have and see what happens, but be carefull not to lock the engine up if the carbs overflow
