It's old school for a reason

« on: August 22, 2007, 23:05:32 pm »

My dream 3-car vw garage consists of:

1.   White 67 old school cal look with one piece windows that work.  Roll Eyes original lotus white paint but de-chromed body ( you know what i mean) , red interior, 2007cc twin 48 Ida motor with hunt magneto, berg linkage etc berg 5 speed and can runs a 12s ¼ mile but reliable enough to run across country, oh and runs on pump fuel.

2.   Early low light ghia, stock looking with 4 1/2 and 5 ½ steel sprints stars or Porsche pattern cosmics. Dark grey or silver paint with dark tan or dark red leather interior, berg 5 speed and large capacity blow through turbo. Would have a nice early porsche style steering wheel (not fussed what type) and early berg or deno shifter. Super clean and perfect running gear. Again runs a twelve but nice round town and not two low.

3.   Early crew cab or panel van with really big type 4 or 3.2ltr Porsche flat 6 again a 5 speed trans, nicely lowered not to low with stock steels or fuch alloys. Dove blue and grey interior and got to have front and rear safaris.

What would you have  Wink

Ps you could swap any of the above with a super clean heb cab again with nice ida motor and lowered with porsche wheels. You can pick what type of wheels as I;m not too fussy Grin

 1) Early Crew Cab, dove-blue, std interior, lowered, powerful NA low rpm stroker engine (type1) on orig. rims or radars...

 2) Split Karman convertible in two different shades medium grey, with grey rooftop  (cal-look for strip use) on fuchs/erco with MH dot slicks

 3) A nice mildly tuned vw blue '67 cal-look on golden Enkei's, for daily use...

(and in my backyard a Fridolin, type34 sunroof, nice gasser, a white T2a on fuchs, a 412, Mr. Komori's Dannenhauer, Calfornia-Look Schwimmwagen with a whining 2332cc to use as speedboat in the weekends...

Maybe we should start a new thread for the OTHER cars  but if we've gone open season on any car then

Ferrari 250 GT California red obviously

Porsche 550 spyder silver blue stripes

Steve McQueen’s Porsche 917 from Le Mans

Model A coupe with big block engine in black

RHD 964 turbo s or just plain old 964 RS super low mileage in red or white for Sundays

Ps no particular order

as well as underground parking for 20 cars, paint booth, etc, etc, etc....
