well have been thinking about this post for a while and i can't live with a 'dream-3-space' garage... it is way too small to store what i dream of.
but i have managed to have a top 3 at the moment.

1. hector bonilla's car (with bumpers and empi-bars)
2. don bedfords 67 (dark blue and dds rims just make me drool)
3. a tie between dave rhoads car and berglar. i really can't chose between those two at the moment

Huh it is just strange i can not think of a type3 that just has all going for it to make it in this top 3 at the moment  Shocked

All of my VWs are my dream cars... they just aren't in dream car status yet.  Undecided

1). '69 Cal-Look Bug with Sprint Stars (and original 8-spokes), 2056cc Type 4, Berg 5, Diamond Blue paint, PEFI/PEI

2). '70 EMPI Imp dunebuggy with widened rear wheels, mild 1679 with retro pieces (Treuhaft manifolds, EMPI deep sump, early stamped Kadron air cleaners, 019, etc.), bright lemon yellow paint

3). '65 T34 with red/black paint, 16"x6"/7" Porsche Fuchs alloys, Porsche 5 speed, 2270/2316cc Type 4 (stock cooling so I can keep the two trunks), leather interior with 911 front seats, PEFI/PEI

My dream 3-car vw garage consists of:

1.   White 67 old school cal look with one piece windows that work.  Roll Eyes original lotus white paint but de-chromed body ( you know what i mean) , red interior, 2007cc twin 48 Ida motor with hunt magneto, berg linkage etc berg 5 speed and can runs a 12s ¼ mile but reliable enough to run across country, oh and runs on pump fuel.

2.   Early low light ghia, stock looking with 4 1/2 and 5 ½ steel sprints stars or Porsche pattern cosmics. Dark grey or silver paint with dark tan or dark red leather interior, berg 5 speed and large capacity blow through turbo. Would have a nice early porsche style steering wheel (not fussed what type) and early berg or deno shifter. Super clean and perfect running gear. Again runs a twelve but nice round town and not two low.

3.   Early crew cab or panel van with really big type 4 or 3.2ltr Porsche flat 6 again a 5 speed trans, nicely lowered not to low with stock steels or fuch alloys. Dove blue and grey interior and got to have front and rear safaris.

What would you have  Wink

Ps you could swap any of the above with a super clean heb cab again with nice ida motor and lowered with porsche wheels. You can pick what type of wheels as I;m not too fussy Grin

A simple enough qusetion, but even ron couldnt narrow it down to just 3 Wink

For me as its a dream garage you wouldnt include anything you already own, thats reality not a dream,so here goes

1.Billy mitchells Motion minicar radically chopped race car[it just looks so mad and I would want to run it and see how quick it actually goes Wink]

2.Frenchys yellow ghia with fuch[although its a little low for me i admired that car for a long time]

3.A stock 50 or earlier beetle, proberly with a fold down roof and 4 seats still Wink[but no one in there right mind would sell  me one as I cant see me keeping it stock for very long Grin ]

That for me is a proper 3 car VW dream garage Cool

thanks ron,it wasnt a complicated question Cheesy

cheers richie

While I would be the first to say that '67s aren't really any better than any other year, when I think of the cars I would most like to own, they're all '67s. Also, only one of them is really well known.

1. My '67 pre-wreck but with the drivetrain I'm planning for it.
2. Mark Dean's Turquoise '67
3. Bergler before it was f'd up

It changes on a daily basis, but I think today I'd like:
An 11-second street Oval, dechromed, on BRMs. Full cage, two seats and just a really angry tune up! Something that sounds pissed off and goes like a rocket!
My own '67/'68 but with a Berg 5 speed and a 2276 with the IDA/magneto look but EFI and ignition, and IRS with 4 wheel discs. Basically I love the look of the car I've got already but I'd like it to drive better!
Tar Babe - the perfect roof chop. I've always loved it and one day I'll manage to be in the same place as it and just lose some hours looking at it.
