Mark I think your '67 would deserve a complete and detailled photoshoot so we could all appreciate the little details and subtle works you've done on it. (Or I should fly to Cali to see it in person  Tongue)

Ted, Nico, & vwcab, thank you for the kind words, but my car was simply put together on a very tight budget and is hardly worthy of mention. Other than maybe the wheels. I'm just grateful to be able to own a cheap weekend car that reminds me of that I drove in high school and even better... still in my first car club.

Had B.P. never laid me off... an entirely different story. But, such is life.

Cool shot of that black '67. Looks oddly familiar.

It's maybe not a show car but it's done with taste and these cars were made to be driven, used and abused  Wink . It's got a lot of nice details : colour-coded trim and t-bars, I remember you painted the antenna housing and the mirror arm as well. And maybe other things we can't see. Media-blasted wheels are great too!
A lot of people here like this car and would be interested in seeing it.

thank you, thank you.  Grin
we just started a facebook page this week instead of the group we had, hence the mega upload of club photos.

currently, my '67 resides with my club mate jesse who's carrying out some tasks during the week until I get the chance come over this weekend and finish that mega checklist of tasks left before I can head off to Das Drag Day. haven't had much time to work on the car and now it's 10 to 12  Shocked

we still have to do some welding, replace the front beam that went crooked at some point over the last 3 years, leaving me with a funny stance of a raised right hand side  Huh  get the engine to run with a whole new jetting and some new parts including a crankcase vent kit. all new drivetrain with a built gearbox to try out. a half finished interior with Rob Kilham's bucket seats and no more rear seat.

well, well, well. hopefully i'll be seeing some you in Bitburg in 10 days  Roll Eyes

p.s. that VW Blue '67 (ashloudon's) is immaculate!!

Complete and detailed photo shoot is RIGHT... You are SO modest Mark.  I might even buy THAT magazine.  Even more so, ol' Nico needs to get his Euro a$$ over here and take a few pics himself.  I have an extra room for you Bro!

Great stuff.  Unlike my car, DKKFreds car looks good both day AND night time.  Mine is a sweetie at 65 mph and 9pm... oh yeah I said it.
