There is a big door car event on this weekend at Santa pod, with total £75,000 prize money its the biggest prize fund I can ever remember in Uk, and some interesting classes including a 4cylinder heads up class we are running in, quickest car in our class went 7.49@182mph yesterday so we have quite a hard task but its Heads up racing and anything can happen Shocked Wink

here is entry list

Watched quite a bit today on and off, looked really good with great weather, wish I was there!
Managed to tune in literally a few seconds after you left the line on one of your runs and as you pulled the chute early Richie?
What’s the new surface feel like? Is it still slippy as I saw a few of the pro mods kept spinning the tyres and it’s been quite warm today.

Track wasn't to bad for being so new, yes it still needs time to improve but considering the European quickest door car record dropped from a 5.7x to 5.53@262mph and the Green 4 cylinder Escort from Malta ran 7.47 against 7.6 previous best it must have been ok Wink I broke a support bar of wheelie bar mount on that pass which caused a big problem hence chute out early, but overall I did struggle with a few things and not get a decent run in really, need a bit more track time to figure out everything from all the changes/upgrades I have made in last 21months since I drove it!!!
Overall it was a great event and would be nice if they ran it twice a year but even the once will do Cool

I agree, great people in the 4 cylinder class and awesome cars. Best event by far in my eyes (that I've been too)

The little VWs was on point  Grin

It was a superb event from a spectator point of view. Great to see the vw's all do well but also that the prize money winners were not all the obvious choices from the start
