Would like some opinions on how she looks with detailed BRMs.

Looks GREAT on black BRMīs. Very few cars can pull off silver ones in my opinion.

i like the grey ones better... or try to find a darker hue of your body colour and paint them like that. the black looks good and is a classic, but your car isn't red, black, white, so there are different options. it is true not a lot of cars look good with the raw ones, but yours does in my opinion.

Do the grey one then lower your car at the back put a roof rack with a coke cooler on it.

Oh and a load more old junk on it.

It will look great or just do them black save lots of money and time.

The black ones look really good. Are you suprised Cheesy I do not really like the silver, but I think a gunmetal grey or maybe a brown would work. Do what you like, experiment with photoshop, and dare to be different. New wheels are on my wishlist, but I do not have the money either, so I am saving. Good luck.

Great feedback guys, the black contrasts well with the rest of the car, ties in the rubbers and interior etc.

To be honest not trying to be different, just a cheap change to the look of my bug for next year.

Black is in the lead so far, but will def play with photoshop!

brown . . . hmmmm

once you go black you never go back.  Smiley but if you wanna stick with the grey, I'd opt for a darker hue, something like gunmetal grey.

I would stip all the clearcoat of them and sand away all the marks left from machining. Then polish the "spokes" and paint them black with texture in between.

colour is Safari Beige, doesn't photograph well, looks green in some lights and beige in others!

a second hand set of Flat 4s may well be an option, when I built the car they cost a fortune! I have had these wheels since 1999.

Cheers!

Second that!

One more thing, and this is just my 2 cents, I would consider getting the back wheels further out to get a "harder" look.

the wheels are already raw - no clear, and the spokes are polished, so all I need to do is clean em up and paint them!

I've really been gettin' the "looks" since I went rainbow... Shocked Roll Eyes Cool!  Seriously, striping and polishing your Flat Fours, semi gloss black paint, and 14mm studs with cap nuts still looks best to me...it's "traditional."  My $.02...

Sorta on the same theme, I have been thinking of stripping my burners and painting the centers a charcoal grey instead of black. Still debating that one though.
