Hi Udo

Thanks for your advise
I have no sump on now
Do you always use sump on type4 engine or only when 32mm pump is used ?

John
Never use a 32 pump on any engine. Type4 max 26mm Gene Berg. You must have a sump on an engine like yours , otherwise you do not have any oil in the bottom of the case.
Torben - i think you never had an engine that makes 8000 or more rpm ?

Hi John.

Lack of oilpressure really sucks.
I have had  problems with low oilpressure (0,1bar) at idle when hot after a run for years.

I have been trying all types of cures for the problem and i think i have found whats causing it, i believe
its the original oil filterholder with the built in pressurerelief that fucks it up.
After plugging it and making a type1 style remote oilfiltersystem the probs are solved  Smiley

It now idles at 2,5bar when hot and 3-3,5bar when cold  Grin

I use a Melling 32mm and Scat deepsump  Wink

Cool,

I didn t know JPM made cams for Type 4, now I know  Wink
Is this one custom made, or does he have a few(profiles) on stock.
I kinda like one.

Good luck with the engine, hope this one will stay alive.

Ok that is good to know, it is desinged for the engine.
Is this a complete set with lifters, valvesprings and pushrods?
or just the cam?

I think it is time to contact JPM, my plan is to travel by his place on the way to SCC, this year.

thanks griebel
