Ooooof that does it for me. Matching spare wheels show a level of dedication Smiley

Thanks, that's how we "roll".  This was a shot from the Kelley Park Show last week. Great turnout and great weather.

The classic FUCHS look is one of my favorites.  I have 15x7's on the rear and custom made 15 x 4.5 late model FUCHS on the front.  Eric Vaughn, of Monrovia, California, did my fronts for me.

My nephew wanted to help me with my wheels so he removed the white paint and painted one wheel and left the other one raw (no paint) Not bad for a 8 year old  Smiley painted the other one as I will be going with the black painted ones on my vw.

I had a set of 14x6 big wheels on one of my busses I will try to find the picture of it. It was sweet but I sold the bus and kept the wheels in my stash.

WOW!
Not that there was anything wrong with your car before but the wheel change took it from "standard late-looker" to something that looks so "real" and right out of the seventies!
Thumbs up for cars that stand out from the crowd!

I bought the wheels of Kinky Mick over here in the U.K about 10 years ago.Came with funky unused L70 15 Firestone Parnelli Jones signature tires.
Never seen any others on cars or in pictures taken in the last 10 years bar the one you had up for sale last year but that was a 14"

Not sure whether they are rare or not, my dad got a set from Pomona years ago for a good price and they are a nice looking wheel.

In my opinion, you seem all really too permissive !

How can you let say :

The Melbert are Cal-look Huh? What  Shocked!?
The Ronal are Cal-look Huh? Hu  Shocked!?
SPF, ATS, KPZ, Heggins, Razor, Roth Star rims, Cosmics... and other "exotic" ones... Waxxx Huh

More simply, Cal-look = look like California ones !

To me, all those wheels, were never part of the classic game of 65 to 87 in California ! So you can honestly forget to rank them as Cal-look rims !
Who many of you dream about ATS or KPZ for his Cal-look ? Truly ! 2 people ? Did you saw them on DKP cars ?

This is how I knew the cal-look ... by classic way.
But its ok if you want to drive an italian-look, a mexican-look, a look-Swiss, or built a German look !  ... what ever, but hardly a true dream Cal-look !

Be so permissive dilutes the essence of Cal-look : Power and Simplicity.
Have rare rims or unique rims is not enough to make a cal-look ! It's just enough to a small talk ! Sometimes "new wheels" brings some diversity but... we can call it "Nice car... sad for the wheels" !

At the end... think what you want but, there is spirit to respect.

Reread your classic (cal-look book) and let live again the empi 8, the centerline, the 2L and the Riviera (paint or not) etc... ! Yeeeeeeha !  Grin
Think about it !  Roll Eyes
Mike

Best post on this thread!  Cheesy

100% right....

Hey fabian, could you change the title of this thread ?

""what kind of wheels for your car ??""

looks like many people see cal-look everywhere and call "cal-look" anything that has 4 wheels, forgetting that it's a particular style !!!..... Cheesy  Grin
