Nice , I wouldn't mind a set of those myself . Always had a bit of a soft spot for porsche patten magnesium torque thrusts myself , but cant see a day when I could justify the price a set go for now . Still I can dream , don't suppose anyone will make a accurate copy of these 30 year old classics ?
The Worst Part is they only made them in 15x7
I have seen 5.5s,7s & 8s all in the same place but they wont part with them, cheers richie,uk

What size's do the American Racing magnesium wheels come in then? as Jason Rew's wheels look like 4.5 and 5.5 combo , perfect in every way

American Racing made the Torque thrust for Porsche in aluminum and mag. Aluminum was 7" only (as far as I have ever seen). The magnesium wheels were available in 5", 5.5", 6" , 7" and 8" (or 8.5 not sure)
I have personally owned 5.5's, 6's and 7s in magnesium. I currently have mag 6"s as a spare set for my 911 and aluminum 7"s as a spare set for my Cal-looker (fronts narrowed to 4")
I am actually considering selling my magnesium 6's, but they wont be cheap if I do.

My Aluminum wheels are machined on the snout similar to the mags ones only without the threads.
Aluminum
Magnesium
The caps I use on both

shubee : yes those 're my torker , and i don't like the color of this one , i would like that they look original one i prefer the sand blasted color , i can't explain why ,i had the same treatment on my empi 5 , and i prefer , and it's difficult to find a nice color for wheels , and that will be with the color of my car l 225 jupiter grey and i don't like black wheels , only brm's
lee : i would like to put this one on my car, but it will be necessary that I change my porsches brakes drums against vw brakes because the rim does not go on those
but i will be a nice ride with the wheels i agree with you
cheer dude

Arrrgghh never sandlblast a polished wheel lip. It wil take forever to get all of those little pits polished out!
Also, I think you will be disapointed with your raw centers The raw blasted finish will grab onto every bit of brake dust and road grime. They will be a nightmare to keep clean.
I would suggest experimenting with the different cast finish paints out there for low sheen, non-metallic finish for your spokes.

Hey Fabian, that wheel/ drum fouling sucks. Have you got any brakes in mind as an alternative? There are a couple of sets of Maico disc kits on samba at the moment, that would suit your period ride better than a CSP disc kit in my humble opinion! Not cheap, but those 356 drums being sold would cover some of the cost!

thank you for the councils dave but I intend to put a matt varnish above and as regards polishing I did not have problems with the empis 5 they 'had the same treatment

Nope, no Cal Look car here. I'm a Resto Cal guy.
1 set will end up on one of my Buses after I do some modifing to the drum, the others will go in with the rest of my wheel collection.
I had cash in my pocket, got a great deal on all these wheels. At some point someone with more cash will come along and the wheels will move on.
Better than a bank account, 401k, or a CD.
Much easier to store than another car too.
Don't be a hater.
