Snabba grabben...

« on: December 22, 2006, 10:50:59 am »

Wow, is it just me or is 2006 the shortest year in the history? I feel like it was just a month ago since I attended the VolksWorld show together with JHU and a couple of other friends. It can`t be half a year since I was having beer with the Fins at BugRun because I still feel honoured by the warm welcome I received. And I still have the smell of burning rubber in my nose after SCC and not to forget the taste of English tea in my mouth after my trip to UK.
When the time is running so fast it`s in a way good to have The Lounge here so that I easily can take the trip back in time to see if there was something I forgot. 9180 posts to read and a whole lot of beatiful cars to look at - all this in under a year!

I wish to thank all of you for making The Lounge what it is today and for making 2006 a fantastic year for me!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It`s about time I updated this thread.

If 2006 was short I wonder what happened with 2011. Is it me? My age? Or just a common thing that time is running away so fast that its hard to keep track? From 9180 posts in 2006 to 244 621 in 2011 by 4161 members. We`re still seeing a huge increase in spam members and right now we have 1248 members waiting approval. I know Trond is doing a great job filtering through all the new members in search for those who is actually real so I give him a big thumb up: THANKS TROND!

So, how to sum up 2011? For me it is easy:

10.86

Thanks to everyone that helped me this season: Richie for everything, Västerås gang for the inspiration, help and for giving us the first Turbo Town Shootout, Torgeir and Tor Odd for great crewing, Borge for always lending a hand and tools when needed, SCC crew for doing what they do best, Jyrki for all the crazy ideas, Trond for the competition and of course Walter, my always on-line IT support when times are rough.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Loungers!

See you all next year.
