thank you very much for the kind words - we´d a blast that weekend! The engine is 2840 (105x82) with eP heads and btw the run was with headwind that we had the whole weekend there Tranny is Type1 Rhino case 3.88 r&p 1st & 2nd is stock (! ... and we´re sure that will break sometime) and short welded 3rd and 4th. The car is full steel, no turbo, no nitro, no knick-knack ... just engine ... and the drivers are +/- 200pounds of weight and look as used as the car ... http://wheelerdealer-blog.blogspot.com/

A superb sight, seeing the brick flying up the track. The head wind was pretty strong.

How much does the bus weigh? And do you race with the middle seat in it

How much does the bus weigh? And do you race with the middle seat in it The original weight is 1080kg. With the Type4 engine and the IRS axle I think roundabout 1100kg ... + driver = 1200kg and we drive it with 2 separate seats in the front ... the only "luxury" accessory beside the shift light (still running without tach ... no knick-knack at all)

Impressive!! Congratulations, seems to be a lot of grunt in it to keep the steam up thru the lights like it does! BTW, you would have a good shot at the Bus award at SCC this fall...

My fave Bus just seems to get faster and faster! Here it is launching hard with the Pink Panther at last year's Das Drag Day. It ran a 13.1 on an unprepped airstrip love that pic Matt ... and I´m sure Ole too ! I uploaded last weeks vid totay - the 12.6 sec run is poor quality but worth a view

Fucking bad!!! Seems to be just getting into 4th before the lights?? Needs a closer 'box! Or are you leaving some "room for improvement"?

we choosed that gear ratio because we thought that we would be faster at the end of the track ... but the aerodynamic resistance is really hard when you race a rolling fridge ...

Great video Tom! One question: what are 'no nick-nacks' ? "knick-knack" .. just kidding .. e.g. Spez is still the opinion that a tach would look silly at the dash .. so we still race using our butt & ears ...
