Yeah.....you in So-Cal.....just dusting your jacket of after a superb Sunday at Nicks Burger. Give us poor living in the uncivilized world the scoop on Nicks Burger yesterday. Who was there, who revved there engine highest, was Dyno giving his high C.....who took of sideway.....anyone wants to share!!! Cool

I would like know as well. We have all seen pics from during the classic week, but how is it the rest of the year. I personally would like to think it would have a more relaxed atmosphere and not that crowded.. Am I right? Any pictures?? Send us a thought when you step out in the sunshine every morning on your way to work guys..lol
Right now it's cold, wet snowy and last but not least dark most of the time here in Norway. I did'nt even see the sun today Undecided
Well on a more positive side, during the couple of months a year we like to call summer we have sun allmost 24/7..

I'm not depressed or anything, I'm doing fine. Really, no need to worry...maybe I better be of to bed now.. Cheesy

I had a good time Sunday, myself.  Drove in with Allen Wiess on a beautiful, clear, sunny afternoon.  We arrived at 4:30, a few cars already present.  The club meeting was held at 5:00...most talk centered on our next event which will be the LA Roadster Show held at the Fairplex in Pomona the weekend of Jan 27 & 28.  We also voted in a new member (Carlos De Alba).  Carlos bought Scott Baaken's ruby red 67 with 2017 / 48IDA power and has shown a strong interest in being a member...we welcome him!  After the meeting, some great Nick's shredded beef tacos for me...bench racing with Jim Kaforski, Stephan, Jim Ratto (a new and welcome addition to the club as well), Bill Schwimmer and John Reyburn.  By 6:30, most all the parking lot was filled with cool cars and familiar faces.  I rolled at 7:30...something about old age and a 4:00am wake-up for work Monday morning...go figure!  Sorry, I don't have pix...maybe this will be the year for a digital camara LOL!

It was a fun night. I got there about 6:30 or so.

On the way out there, I scored some vintage VW hi-po parts from an old friend. Maybe I'll whip out the digital and share.  Wink

Yes Rick, shoot a few pics! Cool stuff indeed...
Cruise night was great. Crowd can be small sometimes in the winter, due to cold weather and even rain. Not last Sunday, as the temp reached 72F/23C.
Good to hang out with Sarge, Jim R, Rick, and a bunch of other guys. The German Folks brought a few of their rides. Karl drove his turbocharged Notch (what a car!), Dom Luppino drove his red Baja (their was another amazing Baja), Craig Gibbs drove his low-10-second turbo Bug (he REALLY drives it!), etc.
Can't wait for the Grand National Roadster Show now!

Yes Jim I am planning to drive the 350 miles each way to the DKP meet in Febuary. That picture makes my black 67 look so high up. I lowered the C.R. put in the K8 and installed the 5 speed so I could drive it more, but this is way more.  I still have to fine tune the jetting and put on some stock shocks so don't beat myself to death with the 90/10s. I took it out for a little fun today, it's still really fast! This should be a fun trip.

Yes, we've been having quite a cold snap the past week or so... However, the rain is supposed to be here at the end of the week.

Yep! Earlier in the week we had the "Santanas"; Strong winds from the desert and this time of the year they're very cold.

I live in a forest area and we had a huge branch go through a neighbors roof.

It's not that far away from us. I know I was talking to JimR and he was saying that it was freezing in his area. There's been snowfall down to 1000ft in the past week,

We had those temps out here in PA up until about a weeks ago.  We called it "unseasonably warm."

Ruining the citrus crop is bad, I need my oranges through the winter.   Embarrassed
