ah the wolf in sheeps clothes...

just today i come back from the local market with the shopping for newyear and i drive nice and calm on the road that leads to my house. it is a nice stretch off about 1km, but speed is limited to 70km/h, so that is what i drive.
so behind me pulls up this Golf IV, TDI or whatever, sure not a GTI as there aren't that many in Belgium. and it wants to pass me just like that over the full white line...  Roll Eyes

i shift back to 3rd and surprise, surprise the thing tries to pass me... enfin, needless to say the golf was back in the rearvieuwmirror in no time where it belonged in the first place.

 Grin

those things make my day and today even my year.

The best days to drive on the road are this time of year. A shame then that it's below zero and icy here right now though...

It depends what you drive. I loose control of my truck this morning because of black ice.  Lips Sealed Luckily no damage or injuries, but I was a little bit shaky after that  Tongue

Sounds like fun, Nicolas... nothing better then setting things straight! Grin  Last Friday, my wife and I had dinner at my sis's place in Brea.  I had to work and drove the '08 Passat, Sharon drove over in the '99 Passat.  We left later on and went through Carbon Canyon back to Chino.  Upon entering the two lane road through the canyon, a guy in a Honda passed me and another guy in a WRX wedged himself in on my rear bumper in front of Sharon.  We had a great drive... first time I've pushed the new car much, the sport mode trans setting is way cool for carving it up on the curves and the "enhanced" computer mods really helped the turbo boost.  When we got to the end, the WRX was smokin' mad ready to get by my ass on the four lane highway, but I denied him......hahahahahaaa!  Sorry it's not an air-cooled story here guys, but I had to vent Grin

Nice little tale Nicolas, I braved the weather on New Years day and went for a bit of a razz about, but other that a few ditherers, there was nothing interesting to educate about the ways of the hypo flat 4.

Nothing better than a bit of a blast on a crisp winters day though, so if you're sat in doors thinking about it, but weren't sure if you could be bothered, go and get your car out and let it do what it does best, I think you might like it!

Happy New Year.
