Jack from Uppsala and his split. I think it is the ex Anders Fridh engine in it, but I don't know what happened to the car.
This car is in Trondheim Norway.

I promised to send some pictures once I have something to show. Here you go, a mock-up of the chassis + body. The chassis was blasted, and the body cut to fit over the chassis. They're not attached to each other yet. Also, the front spindle mount wheels are just for mock-up purposes - the plan is to fit 4 wheel brakes.

Jyrki

As some of you know, I divested the ex-Leif Nyström chassis due to differences in the rules between Sweden and Finland. So there I was, parts for an engine, a transmission, brakes, wheels and a body, but no chassis  Huh Luckily Ron Lummus Racing was able to squeese the fabrication of a chassis in their calendar. The chassis was finished in mid January, and yesterday was the big day; the container arrived and with the help of my friend Jukka we took the stuff to my garage. I must say that RLR does very, very nice work!
Last night I spent a couple of hours installing the suspension, transmission, brakes and wheels to the chassis. Well, I also put in a seat and the shifter, and sat in  Grin

Here's a teaser picture; RLR chassis #0128

Indeed, they don´t even bother to race it.... Looks exactly like when they built it, and in 100% "like new" condition.
Back then perhaps the best detailed vw racecar in Scandinavia, and since it really hasn´t been used it´s still up there with the best.

Sounds like SCC 2011 would be a good time for that :-)

More Scandinavian cars (got more on my disk somewhere):

Bjørn Rognlien (Norwegian record holder for many years)

Not many Volkswagens on the drag strip in Norway when this picture was taken (believe it was only those three)
My car first, previous Swedish Turbomania, Jee`s turbo wasser next and Stig Sæthers green bug:

The Turbomania as it was when we bought it in Sweden:

Dont remember the name of the owner at the moment, but this motor later was to see and heard in Kormis green -59/60:

And finally some oldschool pictures of Jee`s old car  Grin

Nope, the SC extreme thing never ran.
I do not rememeber the details but it was discussed maybe a year ago on a forum.
I rememeber seeing the car on display on a VW meeting in 1993 were I was with my car.

hello,

nobody?

1835cc, 350 HP (without nitrous), 8000rpm, nitrous, MAHLE pistons and THIN cylinders....

Find the mistake.. Shocked

really surprise that Mahle P/C can withstand much abuse...

Jörgen still owns the Ghia and he is planning a comeback.
He has ran 1835 turbo for the last 25 or so years so it works...
