Guys, the Lounge is so much fucking fun.

Where else can hard core VW guys come to enjoy all these priceless stories from guys that were THERE written in their own words, from their own interpretation. I mean, no magazine interview or book can touch the charm of what we have going on here, boys. And coupled with the good timey feeling of all the tales of hot rod history, you can expect your daily stab (good natured of course  Grin), a view into the archives of Mr. Library Fabian, take a look into the future of longtime underground VW racecars thanks to enthusiasts like Russell, talk about how much beer you spilt whilst posting, how many calories you ate during lunch break, stop in for some racing tech talk, ask the advice of your friends, and yes even buy sell or trade here. It's all in a cool state of harmony, and I can pretty much bet most guys that come 'round feel right at home here.

A lot of us pine over the "good old days that were"....maybe because of availability of parts, music that was on radio, club activities back then, or maybe just because none of us want to get old. But think about it....back in 1970 no guys outside of maybe Orange County and LA County even knew what the hell this handful of crazies were doing. Alright, maybe some Brits hand their little hot rod hands dirty too. But today, the Lounge guys are all buddies....and that's the best part of all. We made not agree on moldings or turn signals or other BS, but in the end, who gives a crap. We do what we want.

Alright, enough raving and drooling.

see ya
Jim

Agreed, it has that great small feel to it, like you're part of something really special, almost elitist. It's the forum I spend most time on. Wink

Being here is like hanging out with your best friends in your own neighborhood, only thing is that here the neighborhood is international.    Everyone here does seem like best friends.  I have to thank Louis again for inviting me into the neighborhood and leave the egos at the door.

Amen Brother Jim!

I think "The Lounge" is a perfect name for this place.

It's kind of a virtual corner bar/pub/tavern where we can sit down with friends and down a few cold ones while talking about our favorite hobby, as well as other aspects of our selves and our lives.

Sure a heated debate may breakout now and again but at the end of the night we usually part as friends.

The lounge is a very cool place!! I dont have internet at work so it is much more enjoyable to relax after a long day and read all the new stuff. I dont even think about the lounge at work, but I had internet at my old job and I used to think about and go on "the other site" all the time. WEIRD. Good post.

What a lot of poo every time him up there Mr RR come on here he take the P out of me. Grin

Shouldn't it be Bad New Night Huh  Grin
