Dem, plate is home made from steel. The fun part was the 3 holes....
...and maybe fun to have the same metal ply on the edge as the glovebox door.

Hi Roland, saw your car at EBI#2 and DDD#6 and it's AWESOME
,I like it alot
Now I have 2 questions:
1.That black trim at the dashboard,is that a piece from outside trim and custom-made,or....?
2.Is it gone be (come?) in a VW-magazine?Grtz,Peter.

Thanks!
Dashboard black trim is dashboard trim painted black... That easy. Well the 3 little bits on the jauges pod had to be cut to fit obviously...
And there's a feature comming in Ultra and in Vw Speed... Pretty glad about it

Haha, no, just a joke... There's nothing secret about my engine...
Soo:
Alu case (for long stroke)
DPR 82 mm crank
Flat4 H beams rods 5.4
Webcam 86c with webcam lifters, straight cut gear, 1,4 rockers
CB ultramag + heads
Skat trak manifolds
48ida
30mm oil pump, full flow, berg sump
Berg linkage, berg pulley
009 with pertonix, MSN 6AL & blaster coil
Heads went to steve's, he aligned the manifolds, got the CR ratio right, the valves seats and changed the springs for some exotic scandinavian stuff
. Pat bolted it all together with some extra bits and bolts and voila, almost 180bhp. Isn't life wonderfull?
The only thing i need now is an extra oil cooler, cagero's engine lid hinges that have "open" and "close" position (because i don't really like the look of the engine lid position right now, but i thing it's better for the engine to breathe as much fresh air as possible when driving) and maybe a welded fan because i like to drag race with my fan belt on, go figure..
Anything else?

Hi Roland, you will need the Cagero hinges. I run a aluminum case as well... Just found out that Cagero is out of stock and will produce hinges in December. (at a slightly higher price
)

Plans: Lower, 1915 engine, wheels and Z-Bed conversion... should be fun!

I don't like it that much but it should be ok for some time...

That's beautiful Roland! It just looks so US!! ....only thing you need to do is to fit some overriders to the front and get some nice rubber. Cant wait to see it in the flesh somewhere...

Those are nice but i think they look better on a late bay...
Also, i'm moving to 5*112 front discs and back drums so 5*130 is the closest...

I checked flat4's website, they have it in 5x112.
Here's what they say :
"FLAT4/ENKEI ディッシュ
アロイホイール FOR T-2 '71-'79
5LUG 15" X 5.5J
W/センターキャップ &
クローム エアーバルブ
P.C.D. 112mm 7.86kg OFFSET+23"
