I don't know yamaducci or Chuey and haven't been on Samba forum but a few times ages ago I know that people bash AJ and jump on the band wagon bad mouthing him on many occasions. I don't know what incident you are speaking of, it may be valid and it may be heresay. Nothing personal meant at you in my statements and I'm sure you realize that. There may be a bunch of bad stuff written true but there's also a boat load of good he's done. Anyhow I don't want to get in an AJ argument at all. The quiet pack setups he had and may still have were pretty darn nice. Let's not take this any further off topic.
Jason
Agreed, no further digressions necessary.

I put a Scat 1 1/2 merge header and dual muffs (ceramic coated from Scat) last year on my 1776. It was very well made and sounded great but stuck out a little to much for my liking. I just figured I would share my pics in case someone wanted to know how the Scat one looked like on a car.

Luv the dual QP's, wish i could run them. On the subject of QP's, Gene Berg has been credited with the creation of the QP muffler for the Cal Look VW. IIRC Gene sourced the first QP mufflers from a ....Jeep !! But then, I have been known to be wrong on occasion

This is a nice one :-) I have made the first 20 years ago for race cars that needed a muffler. Now we use them on all race cars up to 315 hp and some on the street. Mufflers are from 50mm - 3" . My last one is a step muffler ,from 60-65-70 mm . I will see how it works
Udo
Udo have you a photo of this system fitted to a car ? Are they available to buy ? Sorry i did not notice your post . all fast cars run this and it is avaliable Udo

But then, I have been known to be wrong on occasion Howard Washington told me the same, I think he takes partial credit for the innovation but it's been a while since he told me that story

hi, i`m looking for a 1 3/8 inch header to fit my bugpack dual quietpack mufflers, some of the headers i`ve seen are off centre and look like crap ! does anybody know a supplier of small flange headers in this size that will exit the car correctly ? the berg dual qpacks look very nice , but when i looked on their website they have no exhaust systems listed this is my muffler

You might e-mail the guys at Bugpack to be sure, but in my experience they were. I don't recall having a Bugpack exhaust with the collector off-center. It's usually best to try match brands where exhausts are concerned, at least that's been my experience. One of those Ghias in the posted pics has one jacked-up looking set up mufflers on it. The tips are practically skyward...

here`s a pic of a club mates car with i believe an empi header and silencers combo. it`s what i don`t want to end up with. i`ve asked justins permission to use this pic as an example, i`m not running his car down, it`s a beaut, just the pos exhaust looks terrible

If you want something just right, you usually have to work on it. Mine needed cutting and tweaking, and it still isn't perfect.

Mine are from CB Performance. From what I've seen of the Bugpacks, they look pretty good.

Bugpack 1 3/8 street header on ny '67. Had it black ceramic coated, the header came silver coated from Bugpack. I like the non-flared tips.
