(too bad there is still people who don`t respect other peoples properties. Our SCC advertising banner got stolen ) Fucking IDIOTS!! Unfortunately they are everywhere. Sadly true So if anyone sees a guy who has a "SCC Welcome VW Fans!" banner in his garage or so, don`t think for a second he`s a cool lucky one, cause he is a thief! There are only two of those banners, and no one in private use.

That's cool! It still wouldn't fit under the lid though, so I really don't see the point. Looks neat though Zach, you must have a good eye when you can see from a picture that this engine can't fit under the lid! Wow. Guess what? It fit's! The engine is going into the red squareback next to it and from the beginning the intension was to have a stroker motor with big enough carbs under the lid. I know the owner, he's working in the R&D department of Porsche and he doesn't do things without a reason.

No oil cooler in the stock location... I'd like to see the motor complete and in the car. Even on thier side, those DCOE's take up quite a bit of room. I was a type 3 guy once, so I have an idea of what fits

It sounds like he put alot of work in it. I had it as a daily with a hot 1600 engine, made some long trips (to bugrun) and so on. It rolled on raw mws brms with a narrowed beam. I am responsible for the cuts in the front inner wings to fit the beam. The car must be super now as it past the swedish mot as it was and there was no issues with rust. When i got it it hade been sitting in a barn for 15 years, some parts removed (bumpers, wings and so on) i took it out fixed the breaks and drove it with the original engine. When i sold it it had the original engine, the petri stearing wheel (thats been in the car from the start) and so on. And i didnt get 6100 pounds that i can tell you But this was around 7 -8 years ago so i was happy with my 1500 pounds

I was filled with admiration for this engine type3 with those sidedraft manifold & carbs WOWWWWW! That's really cool. Thanks for sharing, Fabian. And Lids, I laughed when I read your post... but you make perfect sense with that.

Thank you Christophe.
Tyre detail is limited- the only identifying detail is that they are Avon T (tubeless?), ER70HR15 (size). There is nothing else to identify them. A quick Google was not helpful either, but it always leads to vintage tyre shops.
..a bit of a mystery....
