It looks like you ended up removing the package tray on this one. Did you end up boxing up to the rear window more or less? I'd love to do a similar setup to my 60 one of these days. I'm excited to see this build continue to mature!

I just clearanced it enough for turbo to fit up high enough and for air filter hose to turbo, then ally panelled over that, finally made a carbon rear seat to cover it all

That looks pretty damn epic. I think i'm going to copy the carbon fibre back panelling....up until i see the price for the sheets, then it'll be plywood and carpet

Needed a decent fuel system, luckily I ran big enough fuel lines through car 1st time so main upgrade was the pump, went with this from fuelab, next was converting car to hydraulic clutch, fitting a master cylinder is not easy on a RHD car, its a bit tight in there!!!

Don't remember that conversation, this was way before you ran out of pump on yours, this is pump you now got and supposed to send to John or Lester in february

Richie, I'm enjoying this thread. Do you have a shot of the pedal side of the clutch set up. I've done one on the left side by extending the clutch shaft through and out the left side of the tunnel, but yours looks very neat. Also, which master cylinder?

Its a 19mm wilwood master cylinder, I don't have a decent pic of it finished, this is pic showing master mounted from inside and extension rod i made

While this was going on I got the cage checked and certed for 8.50, before it was only tagged to 10.0 as I figured it wouldn't go quicker than that with the nitrous engine in it.
Upped the fuel outlet on tank to be sure it would be big enough whatever i tried later on    

Also made some molds of 2 different rear air deflectors to try and then made them from carbon of course and added some shock sensors to measure the effects of them

just out of curiosity, did you change the cam? I presume you did, one better suited for a turbo, or is this not being done anymore? and are that pauter rods or the newer CB?

This is a completely different engine, i sold the other complete with gearbox and all the nitrous set up as well   Yes they are pauter rods, i haven't tried the new cb rods yet

Never fitted these ally bearing retainers 1st time round so thought it was about time, also used some Ti hub nuts but they really aren't worth the ££££ - Grams saved

So at this point i had a running car so took it to a test day to see if it all worked, ran a couple of mid 10s and did couple big wheelies one of which resulted in a vibration that needed some investigation so that was end of the test day.
Then the focus moved back onto the cabrios and this got ignored for a while

Just being curious.. Why you don’t use wheelie bars? Doesn’t that kind of wheelies broke the car?

It didn't do any damage so that was ok     

Its a street car and for class i plan on running in they aren't allowed, really I don't think it needs them anyway, just need a few more passes to get clutch and suspension dialled in and it should not do them like this anymore

The next thing on the weight saving list was some carbon doors, after making some cabrio doors with decent results i decided to do some saloon doors, I had learnt a bit about where to add extra material to keep them rigid but still light from the testing with the cabrio versions.
Molds were produced and the 2 halves were made, the inner part removed from the mold then trimmed to enable it to fit into the outer part while it was still in its mold to keep the shape better then they were bonded together
Once they were done & weighed I couldn't bring myself to just re use the steel hinges as they weighed nearly half what the new doors were, so learnt a new carbon process "forged carbon"  and created all the hinge pieces and also door handles

Seeing this, I really wonder how does it feel to drive such animal of a car.
Also, what could be considered a fun, fast, easy to live powerful bug?

I guess for most something like this would be too extreme for the road   But it only goes as fast as i want it to, boost is easily controlled and as a N/A 2332 off boost it drives pretty good
