I am self confesed wheel pervert but my personal favourites have to be the wide 5 mag style wheel ie Cal Parts, ET's, Crestlines etc so I thought I would start a thread for people to show off their Mags - Lets see what you've got dudes  Wink

Nice to hear there are some fellow wide-5 mag enthusiasts out there..
I am trying to collect as much information about these wheels as possible. Not an easy task. There was a number of small companies that produced a lot of different wheels, most of them in small numbers too..
Here is a picture of one of my Rockets. They stand out from the others with their pointed spokes. 15x5 inches, alu center, steel rim.

All of the wheels in this picture (taken in Norway last year..) are from different manufacturers. And none of them are Crestlines..

Cool another pervert just like me  Grin Now about those ET'S the only set I have seen have been the Steel/alu type

But like you say there was so many manufacturers and different castings its hard to know what is what  Cheesy

Here is one of my personal favourites - also what are those tires on your Rockets? Size?

The rear tires (on the right in the last pic) are Mickey Thompson Indy Profile F-70-15s. The ones up front are a little harder to come by.. They are 5.60-15 Goodyear Mini Customs, produced in 1972  Grin

Yeah I noticed your rear tires before  Smiley I don't suppose you know of any of those front for sale  Wink
Here's an Original Blue streak on an ET (steel/ali) I drove round the block a couple times on these Bluestreaks - lets just say there is not much grip when they are cold Shocked

The Bluestreaks look awesome combined with that rim! Sadly they are almost impossible to find in decent condition. Yours look better than most I have seen. When it comes to the 5.60 Goodyears I'm afraid I can't help you. I found mine on ebay, have never seen them anywhere else.

Back to the mags.. Here is an ad for the Crestlines. Though not pictured the VW wheels are at least mentioned.

If anyone should come across an ad or any other information about the Rocket mags please let me know.

I had a friend do them with a proper spray gun but the colour is just PRIMER GREY! oh yeah we did add a little black to the primer just to darken it a little.

I was going to do them GOLD  Grin
