Gimme some interior color ideas (and pictures if you have them) for my '67 Bug. The car is Anthracite, running BRMs. I'm hoping to carve out some time to work on it later this year...

I think that dark blue vinyl or leather would look very nice. Maybe with blue tweed inserts. Red and anthracite has been done to death.
Shubee has a good suggestion too.

Nice suggestions so far. On the blue, something like this, or darker?

Alan's car, pictured above, is one of my favorites. That is a nice shade of blue. The dark blue "leatherette" used on oval window era beetles would look great. When the time comes to redo my interior I will put cloth inserts or cloth "faces" on my seats to make the breathable and cooler.

Black would be the easy way out but it would look goos. How about ox blood red leather?

How about brick red dude, it suits mine great That does look good, no question. So far, I'm liking the the suggestion of blue best, with oxblood coming in a close second. Got any pics of what you'd consider oxblood color? I searched around a bit and found everything from bright red to burgundy being called "oxblood". Everybody seems to have different ideas of what an ox looks like when it bleeds.

Everybody seems to have different ideas of what an ox looks like when it bleeds. I have always thought of it as a dark read. Some where between crimson and burgundy. Do it in a pattern like Alan's car pictured above. You might look at Mercedes or Jags from the 50's and early 60's for inspiration. --louis

For reference, here is an anthracite car with a dark red interior. Also, the beige 61 in the feb. 03 cal-look issue of HVWs has a solid color, dark red interior. The stitching pattern looks very nice. I still like blue , with a light gray or blue german squareweave carpet.

That's Darryl Bakers '58 ragtop, awesome car Have a look through your Ultra VWs, i think its about march o6, there's a full feature.
