Very well done Jussi ('s) Any picture for us Loungers from that car?Or is that the car you brought to Johannes his dyno day 3 years ago?I remember it ran also a vacum-pump? Streetbeetle that is running this numbers, should put on the other shoes (full slicks) and take off the fanbelt ;)Then you probably will have a very fast superstreet car that will run numbers in the high 9's ? Anyway congrats ! Steve

is that 8k rpm he's changing at? Yes, suprisingly low for being that fast if you compare to others. Big engine, loads of torque, belt on and I believe also a muffler but Mange can confirm. -BB-

Sweden 1st Finland 2nd Who is 3rd? Years ago USA-list regulations were: pumpgas, streettires(= dot marked), headliner+carpets etc interior materials, lamps working, no spoilers. These were the facts that made me do the 10.4s split before, because USA-guys did not like my previous 10.8s beetle before them on the list... Congatulations both of these guys on the top of European list now. Development has gone further and we are waiting more... Jussi Finland

I did a 10,81 this summer, but I had taken the fan housing off when I did the event, so it does not really count...

Well done Jussi and Mange! My old car is back in the garage now. It did a 10.96 with more or less stock weight, no removed inner fenders and no raised transmission etc 7 years ago. I will start to build a new Engine this Winter, Watch out!

That is so good to hear! I will NEVER forget when you drove it on Gardermoen with the flag sticking out in the rear. The sigh from the grandstands and sudden respect from the V8-crowd when you clocked in at under 11.00.. They may have expected it from one of the "race cars" but not from that old looker with the faded paint Really one of those moments.. Please come back and repeat history

SCC ? If yes did you not lift the front wheel so you had a 60ft around 1,1 and then there was some talk that you have started the time with the rear tyre ? Looking forward to what you come up with this time youre old car was really fast John

Looking forward to what you come up with this time youre old car was really fast John At SCC I lifted the front wheels over the starting line beam, just like you said. The year after I made 10.9 with a 1.55 60 ft and several 11.0. I had a new engine, 2789 with the very first 4" JPM heads.

Niklas "Herbie" is on his way back according to Johannes Persson. He had a divorce a couple of years back that took a lot of time and money.
